Roscoe Presbyterian Church announces Christmas Eve “Car Church”

ROSCOE - Although the Covid-19 pandemic has necessitated the closure of their church sanctuary, The Roscoe Presbyterian Church has announced plans to hold a Christmas Eve Candle Light Service via “Car Church.”

The service will be radio-transmitted to your vehicle. This means attendees will be able to hear the evenings' worship service from the safety of their own vehicle while parked in the area near the church.

The service, a traditional reading of scriptures and telling of the Christmas story will include favorite Christmas carols performed by organist Margaret Tremper and a moving solo to be offered by Louis Setren. The service will begin at 5 p.m. December 24th.

Those attending will be provided a bulletin and also battery-operated candles for the candle lighting portion of the service. The church is located at 1955 Old Route 17, Roscoe.

The Church would like to offer special thanks to Stephen Dreher and Jason Moreno (Jayteks, 15246 NY Rt 30, Downsville NY) for providing the equipment and technical assistance to make the radio-transmission of this service possible.

Should you require any further information about this event, please contact Julie Dreher at (845) 866-3549.
