The Roscoe Blue Devils opened their season Friday night in a non-league matchup against Deposit-Hancock in their annual tip-off tournament. The Blue Devils struggled on both sides of the ball, and ultimately fell to the tournament-hosting team, 81-10. Roscoe struggled early and often with turnovers, falling behind 24-0 after the first quarter, and trailing 44-5 at halftime. “All the credit goes to Deposit-Hancock,” Roscoe Coach Fred Ahart said following the contest. “We're going to work on things and get better, but they played a great game tonight.” Pictured is Roscoe's Aaron Steele rising over a defender to attempt a mid-range jumper.
