Santa Claus is Coming to Port Jervis!

PORT JERVIS - On Saturday, December 18, between the hours of 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Santa Claus will be taking a break from his very busy Christmas preparations at the North Pole to return to our beautiful City to be escorted through our streets and make various stops to visit children in our community.
During the off-season, Santa apparently has been covertly visiting and enjoying the recreational biking and hiking opportunities of the Port Jervis Watershed Park and is enthusiastic about returning to our community.
The “Santa Tour” will be conducted in partnership with the City of Port Jervis Police, Fire and Outdoor Club, to serve as honorary elves and escort Santa throughout our city.
During the event, Santa Claus will be escorted on a float by the City’s emergency services accompanied by a contingent of mountain bikers riding decorated bicycles to visit our city’s neighborhoods and stop at host locations to take photos, provide hot chocolate, and candy canes to help sweeten the day!
Everyone is invited to join Santa in his visit by meeting him at the below listed locations during the tour which will be hosted by our local fire fighters and the Salvation Army. Santa Claus has a busy schedule to keep and wants to make sure he allows plenty of time to return to the North Pole making it necessary to follow a very carefully planned schedule. To help ensure everyone has an opportunity to see Santa, Santa has prepared the following stops:
1:00 p.m.: Engine 5 Fire Station (143 West Main Street)
1:45 p.m.: Orange Street Fire Station (25-27 Orange Street)
2:30 p.m.: Engine 4 Fire Station (31 Owen Street)
3:15 p.m.: Barclay Street City Park (Tri State Engine 6)
4:00 p.m.: Promenade at Downtown Front Street (Engine 2)
In between stops, Santa will be escorted through the city’s wards playing Christmas music and bringing cheer.
Please follow our social media pages for updates. We hope to see you on December 18!
This special visit is brought to our community by the City of Port Jervis, Port Jervis Police Dept. and Police Benevolent Association, the Port Jervis Fire Department, the Outdoor Club of Port Jervis and the Salvation Army.
