DAMASCUS, PA – The seasonal pancake breakfasts at the Damascus Manor Community Center (DMCC) are coming to an end for the season. The purpose of these breakfasts is to build community within the township as well as raise money to support key services.
On Saturday, September 14 the breakfast will be served at a reduced price of $8.00 for guests 60 and older. The breakfast will celebrate the seniors in our community and also the 1960s. As always, people of all ages are welcome to attend.
There will be “tie dye” pancakes made with colorful sprinkles as well as the classic and buckwheat pancakes always on the menu.
The volunteer crew that cooks and serves the breakfast will be going into their closets to excavate what remains of their wardrobes from the 60s to wear.
Guests are invited to dress up as well and it will be great practice for October and Halloween when DMCC will be having its usual celebration.
The breakfast coincides with recycling on the Township grounds which happens on the second Saturday of every month from 9 AM until 12 PM.
The “60s in September Pancake Breakast” will be served from 8 AM until 12 PM in DMCC’s hall at 60 Conklin Rd. in Damascus, Pennsylvania.
Seniors will pay eight dollars, children $7, and all other adults $12 for a complete breakfast that includes sausage, eggs, bacon and, of course, pancakes with beverages.
