Soaring High: SUNY Sullivan’s Kite Festival

Posted

LOCH SHELDRAKE—SUNY Sullivan was the place to be last weekend as the annual kite festival made a triumphant return. After a dreary week of rain, the sun was shining bright, and the wind was blowing at just the right speed to lift kites up into the sky.

As the first 200 kids arrived at the festival, they were greeted with a special surprise - a free kite provided by SUNY Sullivan. The excitement was in the air as the kids eagerly ran around with their new kites in hand, ready to take on the sky.

But the fun didn’t stop there. Food vendors and non-profit organizations had set up shops, and bouncy houses were available for extra entertainment. The festival had something for everyone, ensuring that the whole family could enjoy the day together.

The variety of kites on display was impressive, from simple diamond-shaped kites to frog-shaped ones that caught the eye and it was truly a sight to behold as the kites soared up high, dancing in the wind.
