Due to weather concerns our field trip to the Shawangunk Grasslands is cancelled. Field Trip leader Renee Davis will reschedule this trip as weather and conditions for the Short Earred Owls and Harriers permit.

WOODBOURNE - On Wednesday, January 19 Sullivan County Audubon will hold a Field trip to the Shawangunk Grasslands to see Short-eared Owls and Harriers.

Meet Renee Davis at the public parking lot in Woodbourne at 2 p.m. We will carpool from there. For more info call her at (845) 482-5044, before 7 p.m. please!

Shawangunk Grasslands National Wildlife Refuge was established to support grassland-dependent migratory birds and wintering raptors.

The refuge has been identified as a Biodiversity Focus Area and important Bird Area. Many of the birds found on the refuge are on lists of endangered, threatened, special concern or priority species.
