Phil and Betsy Conaty, formerly of Monticello, are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, Sean Michael, to Suzan Alqurneh of Iguacu Falls, Brazil. Suzan is the daughter of Fatima Maximiliano Jabr and Omar Alqurneh. Sean is a graduate of Burke Catholic High School. He received his Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology from East Carolina University and a Master’s Degree in Strength and Conditioning from Springfield College. Sean is the head strength and conditioning coach for the Oregon State University men’s basketball team. Suzan graduated from Colégio Educação Dinâmica and Eastern Michigan University with a degree in Accounting. She is a Senior Third Party Risk Analyst at M&T Bank. The couple live in Albany, Oregon and a May 2022 wedding is planned in Porto Belo, SC Brazil.
