Taking care of business

Posted

One of my regularly used email accounts decided the other day that I should change my password because their, “system has detected irregular activity related to my account.”

And they really put it to me when they said, “as a precautionary measure, we have blocked your account,” and “to regain access, please change your password now.”

Ok, I followed their directions and entered my current password, then entered my new password twice, gave verification, checked that I was not a robot and checked send.

I waited several minutes and soon a message is sent to me thanking me for contacting them and gives me information for accessing email from my smart phone or another mobile device, advising me that I probably entered an invalid email address or password.

In further detail they advise me my account has been blocked, so I responded hoping some success with my account but nothing happens.

Have you ever gotten so frustrated that you want to punch your computer screen?

So in the format of properly “Taking Care Of Business” I politely email my email provider telling them in the best English I could muster up that I have followed their directions and done what they requested but, after about three hours of no email and more frustration it makes you just throw of your arms and say I surrender.

Finally seeing no response from my email provider I again type a friendly email asking them to please stop blocking my email.

Their response to my email was that, “an agent has to personally review and process your request and that this takes time and that they will respond as soon as possible.”

They did add that they appreciate my patience and again apologize for the inconvenience.

It makes one wonder in what category do I file this customer service request.
