SOUTH FALLSBURG - Sullivan County's theatre gem, The Rivoli Theatre in South Fallsburg, has been reborn!

The beautiful 76 year old, art-deco historic theatre now has state of the art professional lighting and sound!

Thanks to the endless hours spent on scaffolding, installing updated lekeos, LED moving light units, including adding multiple zone speakers with delays throughout the auditorium, now every seat will have perfect fidelity.

All future productions will be visually and auditorily enhanced. The Sullivan County Dramatic Workshop is celebrating its 72nd year of providing and promoting quality theatre for our community at affordable ticket prices.

All phases of theatre are filled by volunteers who love various aspects of theatre: acting, directing, stage managing, costuming, lighting, sound, etc.

The SCDW has been incredibly lucky to have been graced with the expertise of Mr. Abott Finkel, technical director, of Liberty. His skills in rebuilding the technology are amazing. In addition, the renovations could not have been completed without the versatility of our own Jack-of-all-trades, Harold Tighe. Come and experience the “new” Rivoli.

The SCDW has announced its 2021 season starting with original 10 minute one act plays - “The 10 Minute Play Festival” - with performances on June 11, 12, 18 and 19 at 8 p.m. and June 13 and 20 at 2 p.m. General admission is $15; $12 for seniors, students (with ID) and military.

Each weekend has a different slate of 10 minute plays, none longer than 10 minutes, many by local playwrights.
