GLEN SPEY – In 2018 children at George Ross Mackenzie Elementary in Glen Spey participated in the “Dime in a Bottle Challenge”. They raised $500 for the American Legion Ambulance in Eldred.

During the 2024-25 school year this challenge was revisited. Ms. Majuri’s 3rd graders raised $223.30 followed by Ms. Kurtzman’s Pre-k with $180.75 and Mrs. Morsch’s 1st grade with $164.58. All together, the Pre-k–6 building raised $800.

The recipient of this year’s selfless project is the Lumberland Fire Dept. Mrs. Ann Steimle, President and Mr. Eric Robles, Fire Chief visited the 3rd graders to accept the check and take time to chat with the children.
