National Geographic’s science department reports that fully-vaccinated people – with no symptoms – can harbor enough COVID virus in their noses to infect other people.
This should be a wake-up call to those who feel masks are no longer necessary, to businesses which allow in fully-vaccinated patrons without masks, and to the silly “fad” of wearing a mask below the nose, which makes it useless. I find it particularly alarming to see masks below the nose in the deli section of a grocery, and in the food-handling area of a fast-food place.
I know we’re all sick of the whole COVID thing, but it’s just too early to let down our guard – or our masks.
