Unutilized 1987 Liberty PUD removed from town code

Posted

LIBERTY — The Planned Unit Development (PUD) in the town of Liberty, which has existed in the town code since 1987 and was never even once utilized to see a PUD built within the town, has been struck down from municipal law following a 3-2 vote from the Town Board on April 21.

The three votes to remove the law were from Town Board members Vince McPhillips, John Lennon Jr. and Bruce Davidson. Those against were Town Supervisor Frank DeMayo and board member Dean Farrand.

The push to have the law removed in totality began shortly after the town board voted to disregard a number of proposed alterations, also known as Local Law #2 of 2025, on April 7.
