To the editor:

We all deserve the right to vote in free, fair, and safe elections. Across the country, however, legislation has been introduced at the state level to make voting more difficult by limiting access to the ballot box.

Under the guise of voter integrity, these new laws are really voter suppression and they undermine our democracy. Our right to vote can no longer be taken for granted.

On the national level, the answer is the For The People Act (H1/S1) -- alongside the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act -- which is supported by everyday Americans across all party lines and will be voted on this month when the Senate returns to Washington from a two-week recess. It is a package of democracy reforms that will protect every voter’s right, end gerrymandering, and get big money out of politics.

For The People Act will build a better, fairer democracy for all of us.

IF you actually read the Bill You would see that its filled with all fraudulent ways for voting. HR 1 is NOT For the People!

How do you verify anyone with automatic and same-day registration?

Access? The 2005 Bi-partisan Voting Reform Report shows that mail-in voting is the easiest way to commit voter fraud.

I love this, HOW Many Americans actually support this, you have a number or you just speaking in general 'vote for it' terms?

It's NOT a package of democracy reforms unless you want to keep Voter Fraud for our country?

HR 1 is NO GOOD for America.

You know, 1 day voting worked for many decades, this is getting out of hand.

I don't see VOTER ID anywhere oh that might be what they call an interference and BTW You need ID every where so there shouldn't be a problem using it.

Title: Crazy Bill - HR 1

HR 1 - For the People Act of 2021 – is a CRAZY BILL that Democrats want passed! Read it.

This bill is nothing For the People like it claims. This Bill addresses voter access, election integrity & security, campaign finance, and ethics for the three branches of government. Specifically, the bill expands voter registration (e.g., automatic and same-day registration) and voting access (e.g., vote-by-mail and early voting).

The 2005 Bi-partisan Voting Reform Report shows that mail-in voting is the best way for fraud voting. Early voting allows you to vote early but if you want to change your vote you can – once you vote that is your vote, no changing but then again it’s for fraud.

The most unethical people around, those in Congress, now want all 3 branches of Gov’t to be ethical while they are all the same people that aren’t ethical!

Ethics rules for Federal Office holders, how about DO YOUR JOB for the people instead of what you are doing? You already wasted 4 years crying!

Voter access & security - you mean like when the Black Panthers were working the door?

Specifically the Bill expands the possibility of ‘Voter Fraud’ is more like it!

Since it could be a practice that would interfere with voter registration, Voter ID isn’t mentioned.

They want to quickly register people to vote without seeing who they really are nor have any mechanism in place to make sure no one is fraudulently voting!

The interference being called out is to stop the voter fraud that will happen if this Bill passes. Interference is protecting the integrity of the vote.

This Bill can’t pass as is, too much fraud possibilities in it, it will ruin voting in our country!

  • The two pieces of legislation cited by the letter writer have as much to do with ensuring “free and fair”elections as hiring Willy Sutton as a bank guard. But, of course, that is not the intended purpose of the legislation.

    Bill, it ensures voter fraud.

    Anyone and everyone could vote.

Read the Bill, you'll see what's wrong, what's fraud and what they want to do along with their own contradictions.

  • Bill, it attempts to move the ability to enact voting laws from the states, as provided for in the Constitution, to the current iteration of the kakistocracy in Washington and to make those laws unreasonably lax which will increase the possibility of fraud.
