The legendary DJ “Cousin Brucie” is long remembered by many as working at the Concord and Nevele while pursuing education at New York University and for living part time in Stone Ridge Ulster County and later in his career spending time at various Sullivan County locations and restaurants.

Cousin Brucie Morrow was indeed a familiar visitor to the Sullivan County Catskills in the 70's.

The legendary radio personality and longtime Sirus XM Radio on-air DJ departed the 60's on 6 networks on August 1.

The 84-year-old Morrow, whose real name is Bruce Meyerowitz, has been a fixture on the channel hosting nights from Wednesday through Saturday since 2005. He has many amazing years broadcasting on SiriusXM and has a celebrated career of more than 60 years in radio.

Remember well listening to Cousin Brucie in his days with WNBC and, of course, catching his shows often on SiriusXM.

While Morrow signed off the satellite giant he hinted that he was not retiring…directing listeners to his Facebook page for more details.

Born in Brooklyn, Morrow launched his career on the air on WZBM-AM in Bermuda and later joined 1010 WINS in 1959, adopting his on air moniker, “Cousin Brucie.”

He made his mark as the night jock on WABC in 1961. He joined CBS FM in 1982, hosting multiple shows including the nationally syndicated “Crusin America.”

At 84 it will be interesting where we hear Cousin Brucie next.
