To the editor:

I write a great poem

When through I must tell

Takes me awhile to pick one that’s swell

I was taken by surprise at your choice of my poem

Sure was real sharp, felt like my own

I enjoy writing to one who’s so smart

Wanna thank you from within my heart

I feel very blessed now at my age (86 wow!)

To still be writing
