HONESDALE, PA — Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers (WMCHC) welcomes Board-certified General Surgeon Felipe Orellana, DO, to its staff at Honesdale Surgical Associates. Dr. Orellana performs a broad range of procedures including endoscopic and laparoscopic surgeries at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale, PA. 

Dr. Orellana earned his medical degree from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine, New York. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI and obtained a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Biological Sciences from Drexel College of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. He completed his general surgical residency at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Far Rockaway through Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine where he served as Administrative/Academic Chief Resident. Dr. Orellana has practiced acute care surgery in hospitals located in New Jersey and New York prior to joining Wayne Memorial’s Medical Staff.

Having worked within various hospital systems, Dr. Orellana says what sets Wayne Memorial apart is the “team-work aspect” demonstrated by the staff. Additionally, being stationed in Honesdale has also brought him closer to his family living in northern New Jersey.

Honesdale Surgical Associates is located in the Stourbridge Medical and Professional Complex, 600 Maple Avenue, Suite 1, Honesdale. The practice, also attended by Louis D’Oro, MD and Lisa Medvetz, MD, accepts most private insurance managed care plans and medical assistance.
