HONESDALE, PA - The Cooperage Project in Honesdale is the latest recipient of Wayne Memorial Community Health Centers’ monthly “Dress Down Days.” Employees pay $5 to wear their “street clothes” to work one day a month.

In December, $250 was raised and donated to the non-profit community center. “We’re exceptionally grateful for the generosity of the healthcare workers,” said Arrah Fisher, executive director of The Cooperage. “The money is going towards our ongoing food relief programs.”

The Cooperage works with local farms and food businesses to provide fresh and frozen prepared meals to Wayne County Senior Citizens in partnership with the Area Agency on Aging, according to Agriculture/ Food Program Manager Jenna Mauder. She said the center also has a healthy snacks program for students in grades K-12 in the Wayne Highlands School District.
