LIVINGSTON MANOR – We write today to share meaningful news about a treasured part of our fly fishing community and history.
The Wulff School of Fly Fishing – founded in 1979 by Lee and Joan Wulff in the heart of the storied Beaverkill region – has entered a new chapter. The school has officially transitioned to new ownership. Yet while hands may change, the tradition of excellence that Lee and Joan so passionately embodied continue under new stewardship committed to preserving their vision.
As many of you know, the Wulff School and the Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum have long shared a unique and enduring synergy. Since their earliest days, these two institutions have worked in parallel to protect, teach, and celebrate the rich heritage of fly fishing in the Catskills. That bond, rooted in common values and a shared sense of purpose, remains strong – and continues to grow.
To further this shared mission, the Wulff School has generously committed to donating 20% of the tuition cost for each individual who attends the school this year directly to the Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum. This contribution to CFFCM will be made in the member’s name. This thoughtful gesture underscores the close alignment of our missions and the Wulff School’s commitment to supporting the broader fly fishing community.
We are honored to continue this long-standing relationship and look forward to building new opportunities for collaboration, education, and stewardship in the spirit of Lee and Joan’s remarkable legacy.
