To the editor:

When I consider the number of pages and columns of ink, not to mention the array of photographs and variety of profiles and stories that the Democrat publishes annually about industry and business in Sullivan County, the only word I can find to describe the special section on agriculture in the August 10 issue of the paper is – pathetic.

Or here’s another one: paltry.

Not much more than three and a half pages of copy in eight pages (that’s all!) of supplement. You’d never know from this supplement that “Agriculture is at the roots of our existence, but that’s especially true in Sullivan County.”
