The Sullivan County Long Beards hosted their annual youth buck hunt contest from October 9 through October 11. The first place finisher, Dylan Scardefield, harvested a 6-pointer with a score of 230.15.

Scardefield, the 12-year old hunter, said, “I was hunting on the first day of the youth hunt with my dad, and the buck came out early in the afternoon. I used a Ruger 243 that was given to me by my grandfather.”
