Wandering the Basha Kill with Elly Knieriemen at MEEC

WURTSBORO - Please join us for Wandering the Basha Kill with Elly Knieriemen to be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021, from 1 - 2 p.m. at the Mamakating Environmental Education Center.
Join educator Elly Knieriemen as she shares her photographs of the Bashakill Wildlife Management. If you've visited MEEC, you've seen some of her beautiful photographs gracing the walls.
Elly Knieriemen, long time educator and nature photographer, is an amusing and informative speaker.
She is a member of the Basha Kill Area Association, the Wurtsboro Art Alliance and a volunteer at MEEC. She is always looking for ways to promote and share her love of the natural wonders of the Basha Kill.
Knieriemen has spent the past 32 years living across from the Basha Kill on South Road. As a teacher of social studies for 42 years in the Goshen School district, she found that her love of teaching was directly connected to the conversations and interactions in small groups.
“Teaching was my passion and my vocation so I treat my presentations in much the same way. Whether paddling the kayak or walking the many trails of the Basha Kill, the beauty of nature is there every day.”
Please call (845) 644-5014 to register as space is limited. Masks are required.
