SUNY Sullivan and The Upper Delaware Council present Local River, National Significance

A free, virtual community learning event on Wednesday, April 7, 2021
LOCH SHELDRAKE - SUNY Sullivan is excited to announce Local River, National Significance: Partnering for Management of the Upper Delaware Scenic & Recreational River, a free community learning event presented in partnership with the Upper Delaware Council.
The Upper Delaware Scenic & Recreational River is a protected 73.4 mile stretch of the waterway, managed through a partnership of National Park Service (NPS) and the Upper Delaware Council (UDC). NPS and UDC work together to preserve the Upper Delaware region's remarkable beauty, unique geological features, abundant wildlife, rich history, recreational activities and local culture.
In Local River, National Significance, NPS Chief of Interpretation Ingrid Peterec and UDC Resources & Land Use Specialist Shannon Cilento will discuss both organizations' roles in the management of the river and its resources, the history of the partnership and region, current projects, and the ways in which SUNY Sullivan students and the greater Sullivan County Community can contribute to the preservation and enhancement of the Upper Delaware River.
