Pike County Conservation District presents a free Stream Crossing Webinar

A road stream crossing constructed properly in Pike County, PA.
PIKE COUNTY, PA - The Pike County Conservation District is holding a free webinar for contractors and road maintenance professionals. The topic is road projects that cross streams as seen in the photo.
The information will be presented by Wade Brown from the Penn State Center for Dirt and Gravel Road Studies, and Chris Ingulli, the head of the PCCD Dirt, Gravel, and Low Volume Road (DGLVR) Program.
Brown will show and review the negative impacts of undersized crossings and poorly designed projects. He will also cover the process of using the DGLVR policy and criteria to design and install better stream crossings that will minimize environmental impacts and could greatly reduce future maintenance costs.
The webinar will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2021 from 9:00-10:30 a.
m. It will be held via Zoom and provide plenty of time at the end for questions and answers. Registration for this event is free but requested by March 29. To register, visit our website or our Facebook (@pikeconservation).
