Dental Health Night on Feb. 5

MONTICELLO - PRASAD Children's Dental Health Program (PRASAD CDHP) is pleased to celebrate February as National Children's Dental Health Month by raising awareness of the importance of oral health.
As a five-time recipient of the New York State Dental Foundation Give Kids a Smile Award, PRASAD CDHP knows all too well the impact that oral health can have on the lives of children.
In the US over 51 million school hours are lost each year due to dental health problems or pain. Dental cavities are the single most common chronic childhood disease — five times more common than asthma.
In Sullivan County, 53% of third grade students have untreated dental cavities, more than double the NY state average of 24%. This statistic illustrates the urgent need to improve children's access to dental care.

All children deserve good oral health and a happy, healthy smile!
To celebrate National Children's Dental Health Month, PRASAD CDHP, Catskill Regional Medical Center, the Monticello Central School District Empire Program and other partners have teamed up to offer a fun and educational “Dental Health Night”.
“Dental Health Night” will be held at the Monticello Cooke Elementary School, 69 Richardson Ave, Monticello on Wednesday, February 5 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Snow date is February 12.
The purpose of the event is to spread awareness about the importance of children's oral health and to inform parents about PRASAD CDHP dental services available at the schools.
The event includes free dental screenings for children, free dinner for everyone and raffle prizes!
*A signed parent or guardian consent form will be required for the free screening.
Since 1998, PRASAD CDHP has provided excellent preventive and restorative dental health services to children, fulfilling an unmet need in the community. For more information, visit us at or call (845) 434-0376.
