“Ringing of the Bells” in Jeffersonville

JEFFERSONVILLE - The Jeffersonville Area Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Sullivan 180, would like to invite you to an evening of caroling and remembrance for the lives that we have lost this year due to COVID.
On Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at 7 p.m, we will gather safely outside at the park at Jeffersonville Bake Shop to sing and light candles. Jeffersonville Bake Shop will provide hot drinks and treats. Sullivan 180 will lead us in holiday carols at 7:15 - sheet music and candles will be provided, generously donated by Sullivan 180. At 7:45, the Presbyterian Church bell will ring in honor of each life that Sullivan County has lost this year to the coronavirus.
To close out the evening, all four Jeffersonville Churches will simultaneously toll their bells to ring in the holidays.
All are welcome to attend, but please wear masks and socially distance. If you are a member of a group who would be interested in attending, (ie girl scouts, boy scouts, choral group, 4H) please let us know - we would be delighted to have you! We would also like to invite Main Street businesses to take advantage of the gathering of our community and stay open later on this evening. Carolers might be looking for a place to eat or drink or shop before or after the event.
For inquiries or more information, please email Meaghan Mullally-Gorr at We wish everyone a safe and happy holiday!
Our next Chamber meeting will take place on Monday, January 4 at 6:30 p.m at the event space at Jeffersonville Bake Shop. Follow us on Facebook for more details.
