The Forestburgh General Store hosted the film crew of "Currency," a 15-minute film that chronicles the aftermath of a monetary blackout at a family run store in a small, rural town. The filming took place from August 20-August 22 both in Forestburgh and in the nearby Town of Tusten. Local extras took part in the production alongside seasoned professionals. Director Scott Gabriel plans to enter the film as a short in the Sundance Film Festival with hopes to turn it into a full, feature-length production. There will be a local screening of "Currency" in the fall with date and location to be announced.
