Walk this way

By Isabel Braverman - staff writer

Artist Hassina Brodie stands in front of some of her work displayed at the Callicoon Pantry during the Callicoon Art Walk.
It was an eventful weekend in Callicoon this past weekend. The Columbus Day holiday brought many visitors to the hamlet for two big occasions: the annual Art Walk and the first ever River Harvest Day.
The Art Walk spanned Saturday and Sunday and included many local artists exhibiting their work in businesses and in public spaces as well as live music by the band Poison Love.
The River Harvest Day was presented by the Trust for Public Land, which is planning a public park at the old Delaware Campground site.
The festivities on Saturday included a planning presentation for the park, performances by Farm Arts Collective and fall treats like hard cider and apple cider, donuts and apple pie.
