BETHEL — A double homicide that took place Wednesday night in the Town of Bethel is currently under investigation by the New York State Police (NYSP).

Police arrived near 55 Murphy Rd. early Thursday morning and blocked off the road from traffic.

According to Troop F Public Information Officer Steve Nevel, the NYSP are investigating along with the Sullivan County District Attorney's Office.

No other information was available as of presstime on Thursday. Nevel said that the State Police would provide further updates as the investigation develops.
