Bold Gold Media Group held its Grand Opening for the newly-renovated Liberty Theater on April 19.

Helping out with the event was the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Liberty Chamber of Commerce.

The event was proceeded by a live broadcast of Ciliberto & Friends featuring Paul Ciliberto & Special Guests from 6 to 9 a.m. Following this, the
Ribbon Cutting Event was held at 11 a.m.

Jaime Schmeiser, President of the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce, presented event emcee Dawn Ciorciari with a certificate on behalf of the Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce.

“Welcome home — welcome to your new studio,” said Schmeiser.

Ciociari stated that the event wouldn’t have been possible without the generous help and hard work of Bruce Davidson, the investor working to remodel and bring the Liberty Theater back to life. She said “he’s the reason we’re [everyone is] really here.”

Davidson said that his team is very excited that they were  able to do this.

He refers to it as a walk down memory lane for him, and “probably” for most of the public present.

Ciociari thanked the Liberty Chamber of Commerce and Sullivan County Chamber of Commerce for helping cut the ribbon. She thanked Pepsico Frito-Lay for providing snacks such as chips and water, as well as chocolate chip cookies.

“We’re just really excited to be on Main Street in Liberty,” said Ciociari. “I just really want to thank our President and CEO, Vince Benedetto, for allowing us to do these exciting projects and keep expanding in New York.”

Benedetto said that they’re honored to be back in Liberty with a physical presence. He said that they’re big believers in the power of local broadcast radio to help bring a community together.

“We’re [also] so appreciative of the work Bruce is doing to help create this economic spark for Liberty in which we have great faith,” said Benedetto. “It will be an enduring opportunity for this Town, and we’re happy to just be a small part of it...[and happy] to amplify the great things happening here across our broadcast air waves.”

Davidson wanted people to see the meticulous work he has done on the building. As such, attendees were invited upstairs to view the studio and elegant restoration work that has been done preserving the history of the theater while adding a modern touch.

Bold Gold Media’s four local broadcast radio stations, Thunder 102, 98.3 WSUL, 95.9 VOS-FM, and Catskills News Talk 92.5 & 94.9, will use this studio as a satellite radio studio in addition to offering interested podcasters and content creators a space to create their audio and video magic.  In addition to offering brand-new professional audio and video recording equipment and professionals on hand to assist you with recording, producing, and even marketing one’s branded multi-media podcast or A/V productions, Bold Gold Studios will also be leasing options.
