Monticello man arrested for burglarizing residence under renovation

SULLIVAN COUNTY — Monticello police arrested Nigdrew Reynolds, age 25, of Monticello on Thursday 9/13/18. Reynolds was charged with the felonies of Burglary in the 3rd degree and Grand larceny in the 4th degree. He was also charged with the misdemeanor of resisting arrest. Reynolds was arrested on Thursday following an investigation into the burglary of a residence, which is currently under renovation in the Village of Monticello. Reynolds entered the residence at 4:00 AM on 8/26/18 and did steal various tools valued at $1100.00. A surveillance system inside the residence recorded Reynolds committing the burglary. Monticello police officers arrested Reynolds on Thursday when they observed him on High Street. During his arrest, Reynolds struggled with officers and also attempted to kick out the rear windows of a patrol vehicle. Reynolds was arraigned before acting Village of Monticello Justice Leo Glass and remanded to the Sullivan County Jail on $25,000.00 cash bail or $50,000.00 secured bond pending further court action.
