YIN: Art Shop + Spiritual Center is the pandemic baby of New York based healer, musician and artist Rebecca Conran. Located in Mountaindale, NY she joins the primarily female-owned small business hamlet with her warm, sunny and inviting style.

As a former production designer in film and television before beginning her career in holistic wellness, Conran perfectly combines inspiring creative surroundings with a feminine healing presence.

Conran has weaved her skills as experienced healer and facilitator of ceremonies into this retail endeavor. She learned how to care for herself holistically following her own personal turmoil, and became one of Brooklyn's best-known healers throughout the last decade.

Conran imparts her healing to others through spiritual counseling, intuitive energy healing, sound baths and more.

Conran moved into YIN on March 15, at the outset of the COVID-19 pandemic, and as such she forged ahead with the build-out of the space entirely on her own.

“I moved into Mountaindale right as the quarantine hit, and not knowing anyone in town was quite isolating, as many people have felt during this pandemic living alone. Fortunately for me, I was able to pour these feelings into YIN, imagining one day supporting people in an unconditionally loving and accepting community, in a space that felt creatively inspiring,” Conran remarked.

When you first enter YIN you are met with the bright and airy lifestyle art shop filled with ceramics, linens, sculptural objects and other home wares. The rear of the space contains an open studio that flanks a colorful floor mural where Conran conducts her sound bath meditations and will eventually hold Yin Yoga classes.

Finally there is a serene cedar-lined treatment room where intuitive energy healing and spiritual counseling sessions are practiced.

YIN's official opening is Saturday, July 18, 5-9 p.m. but you can find Rebecca in her beautiful space Thursday - Sunday.
