Library-by-Mail Service to Begin December 2019

SULLIVAN COUNTY - Sullivan County Public Libraries will be offering a new service to patrons unable to visit their library.

Library-by-Mail is a free delivery service for borrowing library materials, available to residents of Sullivan County who are temporarily or permanently unable to access their library building due to illness, immobility, disability, or transportation issues.

“This program was designed to make it easier for patrons who can't make it into the library, to borrow many of the materials they'd find on our shelves. The public libraries in this county created this program to better meet the needs of our communities,” says SUPLA president Mary Paige Lang Clouse.

The Sullivan Public Library Alliance (SUPLA) secured support for this program through an Outreach Services Grant from the Ramapo Catskill Library System, funding from Assemblywoman Aileen Gunther, plus programming funds from Senator Jen Metzger.
