3rd Annual Livingston Manor Turkey “Trout” 5K Walk/Run set for November 28

LIVINGSTON MANOR – The 3rd Annual Livingston Manor Turkey “Trout” 5K & 1-Mile Walk/Run will bring together the Livingston Manor and surrounding communities the weekend following Thanksgiving for a morning of exercise, fresh air, and generosity on November 28.

Co-Sponsored by the Livingston Manor Chamber of Commerce, all event proceeds will be donated to The Sullivan County Animal Shelter. Last year’s race was a resounding success, with 330 participants, raising over $27,000 for the Sullivan County SPCA. This allowed the shelter to rescue 60 dogs and puppies and 45 cats and kittens; upgrade their outdoor show kennels; make much needed renovations inside the shelter; and much more.

Setup start time: 8am, the race will start at 11am, race end time: 1:30pm, and cleanup complete: 3pm.

Participants will register and pick up their race packets and bibs at Catskill Art Space. The race will begin at Renaissance Park. Participants will run or walk down Main Street, take a right onto Creamery Road, turn around under the iconic covered bridge, and return to Renaissance Park to finish the race. An awards ceremony will follow at a local business. The race will be timed by Catskills Timing.

All ages and fitness levels are encouraged to participate; with a 1-Mile race this year to encourage additional participants. Entry fee will be $35 for adults and $20 for children.
