GRAHAMSVILLE – The Ever Evolving Art of Quilting, a new exhibition will open to the public on Saturday and Sunday, June 7 and 8 from 12-4pm at the Time and the Valleys Museum on St. Rt. 55 in Grahamsville.

Curated by long time quilter Phyllis Coombe of Grahamville, this new exhibition tells the story of quilt and quilt making through the centuries, highlighted by beautiful local quilts from the 1800s through the present day. Besides the many beautiful quilts, many handmade, it includes a video history of quilting and puzzles for kids.

The exhibition will be open weekends through the end of September, 12-4pm and other times by appointment. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children, under 6 FREE which includes admission to all exhibitions and the 1930s Catskill Farm.

For the opening weekend of June 7 and 8, there will be light refreshments and quilters will be in attendance to answer questions. Information on local quilting groups will be available.  Call 845 985-7700 or email info@timeandthevalleysmuseum.org for more information.
