LAKE WALLENPAUPACK, PA – The Annual Lake Wallenpaupack Polar Plunge will take place on January 1, 2026, from 11am to 1pm at 1st Klas Marina. Participants will take the plunge into the icy waters of Lake Wallenpaupack to raise funds for the Ledgedale Volunteer Fire Company and Tafton Volunteer Fire Company's rescue dive teams.

Not everyone wants to brave the freezing cold water, and that’s okay! Supporters can still show their support in several ways. Donations can be made online from the comfort of home or in person at the event. For those attending, donations can be made inside, and then you can stay warm by the fire while cheering on the brave participants. You can also help by purchasing food from the onsite food truck, The Grill Father, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the cause. Both the Ledgedale and Tafton Dive/Rescue Teams are all-volunteer, and every donation, no matter the size, makes a real difference and is truly appreciated.
