LONG EDDY — The Basket Historical Society (BHS) will hold its annual meeting on Saturday, May 17 at 10:30 a.m. at the museum hall at 11651 Route 97 in Long Eddy. The meeting will open with a short memorial for the late town of Fremont historian and BHS member, Shirley Rangaves.

Along with electing officers for the year, members will plan the activities of the society in the coming months, and discuss local history in the Basket area. 

Annual dues are $20 per year and can be paid in cash or by check. Members receive the benefit of the Echo newsletter three times a year (eight pages of articles, photos and historical tidbits).
