HIGHLAND LAKE – Jessica Almasy is a writer, director, producer, and actress working across all mediums. She is a co-founder of the TEAM (www.theteamplays.org), has recorded over 400 audio books, most notably as Lourna Dee in Star Wars, and quarterbacked alongside artists like Josephine Decker, Hilton Als, Haruna Lee, and Tim Robbins.

Jessica and company will be in residence at NACL and will present a preview excerpt of Birding for Beginners on Saturday, July 19 at 7:30pm, which the artist describes as “a deliciously slow burning 12 hour American voyage, fashioned after the seabound pelagic birding tour. A sequel to Hamlet meets Colonial Williamsburg, shot in the desert.”

Audiences are invited to witness this work-in-progress  and stay after the presentation for delicious soup and conversation.
