Bold Gold Mo’s: Raising Awareness for Men’s Health this November

Posted

SULLIVAN COUNTY – Throughout the month of November, Bold Gold Media New York radio stations, in partnership with Movember, through their team called the Bold Gold Mo’s, are taking significant steps to raise awareness for men’s health, focusing on the importance of both physical and mental well-being.

Movember is a global movement dedicated to changing the face of men’s health by raising awareness and funds for initiatives that support prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health, and suicide prevention. By encouraging communities to participate in creative and impactful ways, Movember helps spark important conversations and drives support for vital health programs.

This initiative presents Four Ways to MO:

1. GROW A MO – Show your support by growing a mustache, just like Eddie Wilson, heard weekday mornings on 95.9 VOS-FM.

2. MOVE for Mental Health– Participate in physical activities for mental wellness. Jenn from the Midday Mix on 98.3 WSUL is walking 60 miles this month, representing the 60 men who die by suicide every hour.

3. Host a MO-MENT – Create moments of engagement and awareness, as Paul Ciliberto of Ciliberto & Friends on Catskills News Talk 92.5 & 95.9 is doing with a celebrity Pickleball Tournament on Wednesday, November 20th at 6PM at the Duggan School in Bethel featuring Comedian Rich Kiamco, District Attorney Brian Conaty, Bethel Town Supervisor Dan Sturm, Senator Peter Oberacker, Jonathan Charles Fox from the River Reporter, Mike Martucci from Mid-Hudson News and more.

4. MO YOUR OWN WAY– Take unique actions to support men’s health. Therese from The Morning Rumble on Thunder 102 is a dedicated MO Sister, reminding the men in her life to schedule their annual checkups.

“I am so proud of our local Bold Gold radio personalities, and grateful to our sponsors, for taking on this initiative as a team to help raise awareness for men’s mental and physical health. This is another great example of how local radio can rally a community behind an amazing cause,” said Dawn Ciorciari, General Manager of Bold Gold New York.

The Movember campaign is proudly presented by **Ellenville Regional Hospital and supported by Catskills Equipment, Sullivan County District Attorney Brian Conaty, New York State Senator Peter Oberacker, New Hope Community, Shrewd Fox Brewery, S&M Auto, Black Bear Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning, Mid-Hudson News, and Grizzly Bagels.
