ELDRED — The Eldred Preserve will welcome back longtime cabaret favorites Steven Wing & Brian Gens to The Bradstan Cabaret Series on Sunday, Aug. 23, for an evening built around the duo's rare musical chemistry. The performance will pair tight harmonies and warm storytelling with a repertoire that moves effortlessly from standards and Broadway favorites to contemporary ballads. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with showtime at 7 p.m.
Wing and Gens' partnership began more than 30 years ago in the Nancy LaMott Room at the original Bradstan Country Hotel, before carrying them to stages in New York City and Los Angeles. Their return to The Bradstan brings that history full circle. What sets the duo apart is what fans often call their “duo advantage” — harmony that locks in cleanly, solo moments that still feel threaded together, and a cabaret-room intimacy that pulls the audience into the performance rather than simply putting it on display.
“Steven Wing & Brian Gens bring a kind of musical chemistry you only get from decades of performing together,” said Scott Samuelson, chief operating officer of The Eldred Preserve. “Their history with The Bradstan goes all the way back to the Nancy LaMott Room, and their performance promises to be special — full of those beautiful harmonies they’re known for.”
