Callicoon Station Brings Groove-Driven Americana to The Cooperage Project

HONESDALE, PA – The Cooperage Project will welcome Callicoon Station on Saturday, October 3, at 7pm for an evening of groove-driven, story-rich music blending Americana, blues, roots rock, ska and jazz.

With the tagline “Deep grooves. Big heart. Smart songs. Zero gloom,” Callicoon Station brings a sound that is both timeless and fresh. The band draws inspiration from artists including Paul Simon and The Beatles, as well as New Orleans rhythm traditions and the deep roots of blues.

Much of Callicoon Station’s repertoire features original songs by vocalists and multi-instrumentalists Elizabeth Rose and Brewster Smith. The band also features Don Castellow on low-reed instruments, veteran bassist and arranger Jim Lownes, and Broadway and jazz drummer Jeff Potter. Together, the musicians create soulful, dynamic performances built around strong songwriting, infectious rhythms and plenty of room to groove.

The performance will take place Saturday, October 3, at The Cooperage Project’s main building. Doors open at 6:30pm, with music beginning at 7pm. The concert is open to all ages. Tickets are $22 online, including fees, or $25 cash at the door.

For more information and tickets, visit The Cooperage Project’s website or follow The Cooperage Project on social media.

The Cooperage Project is a non-profit organization located in Honesdale, PA whose mission is to invite people of all ages to embrace diversity and shared experiences to create a deeper sense of community.
