HURLEYVILLE – Visionary filmmaker and Co-Chairman of the Catskill International Film Festival, Charles Marinaro, invites you to a star-studded evening celebrating a decade of creativity and the vibrant arts scene of the Sullivan County Catskills. Hosted by Marinaro and The Catskill International Film Festival, this event on January 10th, 2025, at the Hurleyville Performing Arts Center (HPAC) promises to be a night of cinematic magic, connection, and celebration.

Come dressed to impress and be a star for the night! Walk the red carpet and strike a pose against the step-and-repeat backdrop—because who says you can’t be a star?

A Legacy Reimagined: Savior 2025

The evening will highlight the reimagined version of Charles Marinaro’s award-winning feature, Savior, celebrating its 10-year anniversary with a fresh take for a new generation. This gripping crime drama—winner of Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Crime Drama at various film festivals—tells the harrowing story of Clyde’s rise from a small-time criminal to a kingpin, exploring the devastating consequences of power.

Content Advisory: Savior 2025 contains mature themes, including violence, gore, language, adult content, sex, nudity, drug use, and smoking, and is not appropriate for children.

“This was one of my first professional projects,” Marinaro shared, “and revisiting it 10 years later feels like a homecoming. I’m thrilled to share it in a way that bridges past accomplishments and future ambitions.”

Looking Ahead: Where the High Ends

Marinaro is also gearing up for his next major project, Where the High Ends, set to begin production in Sullivan County Catskills and Hudson Valley in 2025. He is planning in-person casting sessions early in the year, and this event is a prime opportunity for aspiring talent and crew to connect with his production team.

An Evening of Star-Studded Highlights

The festivities begin at 6 PM with a networking mixer in the theater lobby, offering the perfect setting for creatives—filmmakers, actors, models, photographers, and more—to connect and collaborate. Don’t forget your business cards, resumes, and headshots to make the most of the opportunity.

At 7 PM, the theater doors open for an unforgettable program:

Red Carpet Walk and Photo Ops – Step into the spotlight and capture your moment of fame.

A Celebration of the Arts

“I hope this event raises awareness of the massive artistic community our area has to offer,” Marinaro said. “Networking events like this bring positivity and link like-minded people who may have never met otherwise. This is just the beginning of what’s to come.”
