FALLSBURG – Despite Fallsburg not fielding a full cross-county team on Wednesday, partly due to injuries, a few Comets stood out and put out solid numbers on Senior Night! Fallsburg’s Jozyr McNeil was the top finisher for the Comets, completing the 3.1-mile course in 21:56 behind O’Neill’s Josiah Post and Aven Mietus, both running a 20:30 that afternoon. One of the most impressive finishers on the course was Fallsburg freshman Heaven Wilson. Wilson completed the course in 28:00 to finish in second place behind O’Neil’s Veronica Wolf’s  26:12, and just ahead of Piper Nulton’s 28:16, from O’Neill. Fallsburg’s head coach Loren Saint-Vil’s reaction was nothing but positive after the meet. “Everyone is lowering their times, they’re having fun, and the team is working together to motivate each other! As for the upcoming high school championships, Saint-Vil said, “We’re just going to continue to have hard workouts and see how well we can do!”
