LIBERTY – Starting May 28 and running for seven weeks, Liberty Museum & Arts Center opens its doors to the community for a new experience; Costume design and prop production workshops.
Starting this summer, you are invited to our first series of workshops, hosted by Roxxanne Rittenhouse. They want creators to join at the museum to share, learn, discuss and above all, create!
Art spaces are typically for viewing art, but here they want you to come and create the art that will be on display. This year an initiative starts to create space for creators. You will learn skills and techniques to build your own movie props, design cosplay for a comic con, or to be the coolest parent for Halloween.
If you have ever seen your reflection in a character from movies, television, or even books, we can help you turn that vision into a reality. So, whether you want to be a Padawan and earn your light saber from the Star Wars Galaxy, or you want to fashion your very own wizard staff from The Lord of the Rings or anything in between, they can help show you how to make it.
So parents, kids, and nerds alike, the museum has a space for you! Come to the museum and make a mess together! Weekly on Thursdays starting May 28, 2026, 3pm- 5pm at Liberty Museum & Arts Center, 46 South Main Street, Liberty, NY. To reserve your place call: (845) 807- 6055.
