Craig Anthony (Tony) McCoy, 55, of Schenectady, NY, formerly of Monticello, NY, died peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer. The son of the late Douglas A. and Dorothy L. McCoy, he was born on November 18, 1970, in Monticello, NY.

Tony grew up in Monticello in a large and loving family of eight siblings, whose influence helped shape him into the man he became. He graduated from Monticello Central Schools in 1988.

Tony enjoyed life’s simple pleasures – good food and time with family and loved ones. A gifted, self-taught musician, he practiced for hours daily with patience and dedication, developing a remarkable talent that astonished many.

He worked at Wildwood Programs until declining health prevented him from continuing.

A loving brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend, Tony will be missed by all who knew him and loved him.

Tony was preceded in death by his father, Douglas A. McCoy; his paternal grandparents, Alfred Henry McCoy and Anna Mae McCoy; his maternal grandparents, Bishop Leon C. Walker and Lady Imenia Walker.

Tony is remembered by his mother, Dorothy L. McCoy of Monticello, New York; five brothers, Brian D. McCoy (Cathy) of Hawthorne, California, Bernard H. McCoy (Tracey) of Menifee, California, Timothy A. McCoy of Monticello, New York, Tyrone S. McCoy of Saratoga Springs, New York, and Steven C. McCoy (Toccara) of Colonie, New York; three sisters, Brenda Harris (Derrick) of Syracuse, New York, Sheila Y. McCoy-Arnold (Karlief) of Poughkeepsie, New York, and Sharon McCoy of Syracuse, New York; one great-aunt, Mother Mattie Dawson of Syracuse, New York;  beloved uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Rest in peace until we meet again.
