Grahamsville — Cornell Cooperative Extension Sullivan County (CCE) is hosting a free D.I.Y. Energy Savings Session on Thursday, October 23, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM at the Daniel Pierce Library, 328 Main Street, Grahamsville, NY.
The program will show local residents how to cut utility bills, improve home comfort, and prepare for the future of home energy. Participants will learn about easy, do-it-yourself projects that reduce energy waste, as well as the latest information on heat pumps, insulation, and state and federal incentives for home energy upgrades. The session will also highlight programs like EmPower+ and HEAP, which provide direct assistance to qualifying households.
All attendees who register in advance will receive a free home energy kit valued at $80, which includes: LED light bulbs, weatherstripping, a door sweep, power strip, window insulation, foam tape for windows and doors, and foam outlet and switch gaskets.
The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required to receive the energy kit.
