Headwaters Chamber Music Festival on September 5 & 6

Posted

Claryville – On Septermber 5 and 6, a new chamber music festival near the headwaters of the Neversink River, high in the Catskill Mountains will start at 7pm on the 5th and 3pm on the 6th at the Claryville Reformed Church, 946 Claryville Road, Claryville.

The Headwaters Chamber Music Festival takes its inspiration from the astounding natural beauty of the Catskill watershed area and recalls the small chamber music festivals that founder Eli Spindel remembers visiting as a child in small churches in beautiful areas around New England.

This year's inaugural festival features world-class musicians performing music by Bach, Mozart, Schubert, and Dvorak over two concerts. The theme is Hunting & Fishing (a nod to two pieces from the festival repertoire: Mozart's "Hunt" Quartet and Schubert's "Trout" Quintet).
