HONESDALE, PA – This week, April 21 through April 25 is Health Information Professionals Week. Wayne Memorial Hospital (WMH) has a whole team of health information superheroes to celebrate! They play a crucial role in ensuring that health information is accurate, complete, and available to patients and clinicians. “Heroes don’t always wear capes…sometimes, they wear badges and quietly power the entire healthcare system from behind the scenes,” says Medical Records Manager/Privacy Officer Stacey Goodenough, RHIA. She arranged for a fun- filled luncheon with games and, as you can see, masks to coincide with this year’s theme!
All joking aside, it’s an important job and WMH is glad to have each and every member of the team and the expertise they represent. The care and processing of patients’ information must be handled in a timely manner with the utmost privacy and within all compliance regulations. Thank you to the entire Medical Records staff at WMH who ensures that all health information is accurate, accessible, and secure.
