Healthiest Fire Department Challenge
The Sullivan 180 Healthiest Fire Department Challenge is heating up at the halfway point! In the lead is Smallwood-Mongaup Valley Fire Department with 148 points; Jeffersonville took second place this week, with Kauneonga Lake close behind. Departments accomplished incredible health goals for themselves and their communities this week, including inter-department push-up challenges, walks across the county, and even drinking 472 gallons of water in April.
Livingston Manor firefighters (featured) participated in the Livingston Manor Renaissance Town Litter Pluck, helping clean up their community and filling an entire dump truck in three hours. Litter plucks not only help keep parks, roads, and neighborhoods cleaner and safer, but also support physical and mental health by combining fresh air, movement, and a sense of purpose, helping reduce stress while fostering pride and connection within the community.
Keep following along to see WHO will be the winners of the 2026 Healthiest Fire Department Challenge!
