Education: I graduated from SUNY New Paltz with a Bachelors in Accounting. For dessert loving, I went to the Wilton School of Cake Decorating for 2 months and took a few different classes. Otherwise it’s all self taught.

Why did you choose this career: I absolutely love sweets and baking. I find joy in creating the most delicious items and beautiful creations.

Favorite part of your job: Trying new recipes! 

Most challenging part of your job:  Sugar Cookies - they take so much time and can be so tedious.

How do you manage your time: LOL not well–I also have two little girls and a hubby at home, so my time is very limited and stretched thin most of the time. 

What advice do you have for someone entering your field: Remember to love what you do. It’s too easy to lose the love for baking, since it’s now a “job.” But if it’s your hobby, remember to enjoy it.

Who inspires you: My kiddos. They love my creations and always hype me up. They inspire me to continue trying new recipes and creations.

Favorite movie/TV show: My guilty pleasure is The Vampire Diaries. I know it sounds so stupid, but it’s a comfort show at this point. I always have it on when I am baking and I don’t have to pay much attention to it to know what’s happening.

How do you spend your spare time: I don’t have much spare time, but when I do we take our Side by Side out for rides with the kiddos and have BBQ’s. 

Favorite vacation spot: I don’t actually get to take vacations either, but we used to go to the Hamptons every year, and it was the most fun.

Family: I mentioned before, but I have two adorable little girls and I am married to my high school sweetheart.

Civic or volunteer affiliations: Cuppie Cakes does a lot of gift cards and donations to non-profits.
