I just found out that many seniors from the Town of Highland participate in events and activities at various senior and community centers in other nearby towns. In Narrowsburg there is the Tusten Social organization which is in The Commons building whose programs connect youth, teens, and seniors in the community with activities. They have a lot of free programs- After School Kid Club for grades 2-6th, The Teen Culinary Club for grades 7th and up.
Cozy Movie Club is open to everyone for family friendly movies, as is Sage Sessions. Sage Sessions offer relaxed social gatherings for people over 60 to meet, chat, play games, and stay active. Meetings are held at Tusten Social in Narrowsburg on the second and fourth Mondays (1–4pm), at Delaware Valley Arts Alliance on the first and third Thursdays, and at Cooperage Project in Honesdale on the second and fourth Thursdays. No registration is required.
The Commons Building is located at 90 Main Street in Narrowsburg and the site also has some lovely commercial shops to explore. The Delaware Arts Alliance is located at 37 Main Street and features very nicely curated art exhibits by local artists. For more details, visit tustensocial.org. Stay positive—the start of Spring is just twenty-four days away, even if it doesn't feel like it right now!
